With Dalia, went to one of the nicest backpackers have stayed at in NZ, in Piha, West of Auckland on the coast - we were the only 2 guests!!! There is a big rock in Piha - I mean BIG - a waterfall. No decent coffee in Piha, but 20 min drive away there was!!!
At last I had an haircut, courtesy Dalia. - so you see the before and after. These some of the comments by Dalia as she chopped away - I know I have posted these elsewhere
'Don't expect too much you would love it' or 'It may not be the best haircut I have done but it is the funniest' or ' You can always go to a hairdressers after' or ' I may have scissors but it does not mean I know how to cut hair ' or 'I don't stop until it is right or you are bald '
I am trying to catch up with myself, so not much writing in the coming posts but lots of photos!

Beautiful photos.I've not been to Piha but certainly looks lovely. Hostel also looks ovely. There are many lovely small hostels Dan if you go to the remoter places. I found so many when I was first here and I'm sure they're still there too!
Now you're in chch you should head to the Banks Pennisular for a few days and the backpackers at Le Bons Bay. Really lovely place. I assume it is still there.
Alas the hostel is no longer :(
